VETERANS PARK MEMORIAL PAVERS
New pavers at Veterans Park are dedicated every year at Celebrate Hoover Day in May. This picturesque pavilion houses benches with pavers to honor those Killed In Action. The pavers in the central area honor veterans from all branches of service. Flags representing the service branches hang over the area, and a large American flag waves above all. Take a moment to visit this memorial and reflect on the service and sacrifice of all veterans.

Our Board
The Hoover Parks & Recreation Foundation Board is a volunteer team of civic and business leaders who share one purpose: ensuring Hoover’s parks remain places where every resident can connect, play, and thrive.
Since the Foundation’s start in 1991, these dedicated stewards have guided fundraising, forged community partnerships, and championed new amenities—from trail expansions to inclusive playgrounds—all so current and future generations can enjoy first-class recreation close to home. Together, they provide the vision, fiduciary oversight, and hands-on enthusiasm that keep our city’s green spaces growing.
